Golf adds three newcomers for Fall 2016
Hazleton, Pa. - Penn State Hazleton is pleased to announce the addition of three new faces to the golf squad for the 2016 season. John Hawley, Zach Kyttle and Joshua Provost have all signed on to compete along side United States Collegiate Athletic Association women's champion Katie Behnert (Montandon, Pa.) to make a run at another conference championship.
John Hawley - The Crestwood High School senior from Mt. Top, Pa. is a five-time Wyoming Valley Conference champion in two sports (basketball/golf) and a two-time all star in golf for the comets. Hawley is a National Honor Society, National Business Honor Society, and Spanish Honor Society member, as well as a member of the Future Business Leaders of America. John plans to major in accounting and is excited to attend Penn State for it's distinguished reputation and proximity to home.
Zach Kyttle - Kyttle garnered six varsity letters at Berwick Area high School in wrestling, golf, and baseball. An all-around athlete for the Bulldogs, Kyttle placed 6th in districts as a wrestler and was a two-finalist with the Berwick baseball team. The senior plans to pursue a career in electrical construction as a business management major and is excited to attend Penn State for the best academics in the country.
Joshua Provost - The Hazleton Area High School senior is a seven-time varsity letter winner in golf and tennis where he qualified for district playoffs in both sports. Provost took first place in Hazleton's USGLL stroke play event and is a member of the Amateur Golfer's Association. The high school senior won honors for academics, is a state competitor in FBLA and a member of the Hazleton High School executive council.
