HAZLETON, PA – The United States Collegiate Athletic Association and The Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference have named Hazleton forward Jordan Singletary (Houston, TX) player of the week for games played from Jan. 27 to Feb. 2. This marks Singletary's first career POTW honors and is Penn State Hazleton's first men's basketball player to receive the accolades this season.
Singletary led Penn State Hazleton to a 1-1 record this past week against PSUAC opponents Fayette and New Kensington averaging 12.5 points per game, 11 rebounds and 6.5 blocks per contest. The freshmen standout nearly achieved a triple double in a victory over Penn State New Kensington in which he recorded 14 points, 15 rebounds and 8 blocked shots.
